Hi, my name is Cat
I'm a Mixed Media Artist living in Central Florida and I've been creating full time since 2011. I teach, design products, offer freelance services and work with some pretty amazing companies in the arts industry.
What I love most about creating is the discovery process of a new product. I consider myself a "creative mad scientist" because figuring out what a product can do and how to incorporate it into my work in is the highlight of my artistic process.
I believe that curiosity is the driving force behind what I do. I work with paper, resin, wood, plastic, metal, leather, fiber, paint, anything and everything that speaks to me. My job is to balance these materials with new products on the market and I accept that challenge wholeheartedly. Anything is possible if you dream, do and repeat!
Below are just some of the places you can find me and my work.
Welcome to my Youtube Channel.
I've been fortunate to have had my work featured in national and international publications over 80 times since 2011. I work in all genres so you can find my work in sewing publications, jewelry publications, art journaling, home decor and even fashion publications. My work has also been featured on five covers of Somerset Studio, a mixed media journal by Stampington Publications. My most recent cover was in the fall of 2019

I've appeared on multiple seasons(200,600,700,800)of the PBS show "Make it Artsy"
"Make It Artsy"
is a show dedicated to the crafter, maker and artist - celebrating the maker spirit and enthusiasm that extends to every part of life. It’s more than crafting, more than art or scrapbooking, showcasing everything from mixed media to metalsmithing, using tools from saws to sewing machines, and materials from paper to wood. Join host Julie Fei Fan Balzer and unleash a new look for crafting with a touch of industrial style.

I feel so thankful to work with companies that are open to listening to my creative ramblings, especially when it comes to designing products. These companies have all taken a chance with me and offered me my own line of products. For this, I will forever be grateful. Click the links below to see the products.
